Gerard Farris MD FACEP ABAARM

Physician/Medical Director

Dr. Gerard Farris, a graduate of the LSU School of Medicine, completed his Residency in Emergency Medicine at LSU.  He is a Board Certified Emergency Medicine Physician, a Fellow of American College of Physicians and a certified CrossFit1 MD.  He has also worked as an advisor/researcher for Appalachian State Human Performance lab at the North Carolina Research Center in Kannapolis.  Dr. Farris continued his studies and is one of a very few Physicians in Cabarrus County who is Board Certified in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine.

Practicing Emergency Medicine for over 28 years, Dr. Farris has always had an interest in age management, nutrition and weight loss.  He has seen the impact of disease on individuals and families. Far too long, medicine has treated the symptoms of disease without getting to the root of the problem.

For the past 30 years, Dr. Farris has also been a competitive triathlete.  His accomplishments include completion of over 300 races including 4 Ironman distance competitions, 50 Adventure Races and 13 Marathons.  He’s been a member of Team USA Long Course Triathlon Team racing in 3 World Championships.  He has also served as a physician for Team USA.

As an aging athlete, he recognized the need to educate himself in nutrition, supplementation and hormone restoration to achieve peak results.  Dr. Farris’ passion for age management led him to the field of Functional and Integrative Medicine. His Functional Medicine training allows him to treat the root cause of the diseases impacting so many people today. Now patients can actively participate in their own healthcare and change their lives for the better.

Dr. Farris’ research interests have included Cannabidiol as therapy for pain and neurologic disorders.  He is been an educator and has presented lectures at the World Anti-Aging Congress on the therapeutic benefits of Cannabidiol.  In addition, Dr. Farris serves on the Scientific Advisory Board for the Journal of Endocannabinoid Medicine.

Locally, Dr. Farris has been a regular contributor to Fox46 News on numerous health related matters.  In addition, he has appeared a number of times as a guest speaker on the About Your House radio show discussing healthy living.

Dr. Farris brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Huntersville/Concord area.  Among other things, Dr. Farris works with individuals and athletes at all levels of health and wellness to provide hormone support, thyroid support, brain health, gut health, stress relief, weight management as well as injury recovery through Peptides. His goal is to provide access to the best in scientific knowledge and medicine so his clients can achieve optimal outcomes.
